I had so much fun watching the Grammy awards this year. The tribute that was sung for Aretha Franklin was excellent. I really enjoyed Martina McBride, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Florence Welch and Yolanda Adams. They sang several really great Aretha Franklin songs such as “You Make Me Feel” and “Sisters Are Doing It for Themselves.”
My kids had fun watching Cee Lo's performance with Gwyneth Paltrow and the Muppets. Cee Lo reminded me of Elton John in the 70s with the wild outfit and playing at the piano. Gwyneth was dressed in a skin tight cat suit and looked really good.
Lady Gaga performed for the Grammy crowd when she emerged from an egg. She sang her new single and her vocal performance was really good. The dancing was energetic and I liked what all of the dancers were wearing.
Bruno Mars performed his new song “Nothin' on You” with B. o. B and sang the song beautifully. He then sang his hit song “Grenade” and several backup singers performed with him. Next Monae was up and she performed her song “Cold War” I thought her singing was really good, but I was glad I didn't have to sit behind her hair.
I watched the Grammy Awards on my satellite TVtvbydirect.com and was able to rewind the performances that I enjoyed the most and watch them again.
